The government have this week announced that they are re-opening the Rural Development Growth Programme.
There are 3 types of grant:
Business development
Food processing
Rural tourism infrastructure
To be eligible, the project will need to create jobs or bring more money into the rural economy.
There are quite a few restrictions to the grants, and the government seem to have very different ideas about what should be eligible!! However, if you have a project on the horizon, particularly one which relates to Farm Diversification, give me a call and we will see if we can work it in to one of these schemes. Likewise if you would like a more general discussion about diversification options and the ways we can make the grant funding fit, then please get in touch.
